Bansko After Dark

One of Bansko's most popular après-ski spots, Happy End is lively, friendly and always busy after the lifts close. It's the kind of place where you pop in for one drink and end up staying for three hours. Great atmosphere, cheap drinks, and a crowd that's always in good spirits after a day on the mountain. Amigos is one of the long-established names on the Bansko nightlife scene. It's particularly well known for live music, with Step By Step regularly playing during the winter season. Expect rock, classic favourites and the sort of music that gets people singing along rather than sitting quietly in their seats. If you're looking for a lively night with live music, this is one we'd have on your list.

Another popular après-ski stop close to the Gondola area. Tipsy 360 has a lively atmosphere and is particularly good for that late-afternoon drink when you've finished skiing but aren't quite ready to call it a day. Grab a beer, find a table outside when the weather allows and watch Bansko's après crowd go by.

f you want a proper pub rather than an après-ski party, Morris Bar is one of our favourites. It's a little tucked away just off the main street, but well worth finding. There are TVs showing the big sporting events, two pool tables, darts and table football, so it's a good place to settle in for a few hours. It's got that proper British pub feel and is particularly popular with people wanting to watch football, rugby and other live sport. Drinks are also very reasonably priced, and there's often a good atmosphere without the full-on party scene you get in some of the bigger après bars. Our tip: If there's a big football or rugby game on, get there early — it can get busy.

Good drinks, good food & a proper social atmosphere The Hub is a good choice if you're looking for somewhere relaxed and friendly rather than a full-on nightclub. It's got plenty of space, a good selection of drinks and food, and it's the sort of place where you'll find a mixture of locals, regular visitors and groups staying in Bansko. They also put on events during the season, so it's worth checking what's happening while you're here. “We've spent plenty of time here ourselves...”

Ginger is one of the bigger evening venues in Bansko and a good choice if you want to combine dinner with a few drinks and some entertainment. It's got a big menu, cocktails, plenty of space and, on selected nights, live music and DJs. It's the sort of place where you can start with dinner and, depending on what's happening that night, end up staying for the music and atmosphere. It's particularly lively during the winter season and is popular with groups looking for somewhere with a bit more going on than a quiet dinner.
